A few years back, I (Michael) found myself with lots of time and little to say — with an itching intuition that the challenges I faced would best be approached as opportunities for expression.
The nature of life is transformative, and all of our varying interests and creative works inform our experience of growth and change. Miscellanea is where I attempt to distill these interactions, hoping that we can all share in the findings.

In June 2023 I introduced something simple — Now and Again is a weekly pictorial with one rule: the photos must be from the past week. As a subscriber to Miscellanea you’ll be getting the usual prose-forward pieces, with photos and links interspersed. But now, in addition to those pieces, you’ll be receiving a fresh batch of photos every week. I hope you enjoy.
